Dr Hans Seltenreich completed his medical training and gastroenterology degree at the Universities of Padua (Italy) and Heidelberg (Germany). Before relocating to Australia, he worked for 5 years as a consultant gastroenterologist in Switzerland. He moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2007 and has since worked at the Nambour General Hospital as a consultant gastroenterologist and director of gastroenterological services.

One of his passions is ensuring the delivery of the highest quality services to patients and his biggest achievement was the planning and implementation of the state-of-the-art endoscopy suites at Nambour General Hospital. He is dedicated to the delivery of high quality services to both public and private patients and as such has been visiting Mackay since November 2013.

Hans is fully accredited by the Conjoint Committee of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) as an interventional gastroenterologist. His special interest lies in upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, ERCP, PEG feeding tube insertion, liver biopsy and stenting of the esophagus, duodenum, bile ducts and large bowel.
